Joyce Gossett, 87, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Du Quoin, Illinois.
Born on February 27, 1938, Joyce was a former member of Paducah First Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Elkville. Joyce retired after 16 years at Amerisource. Joyce enjoyed spending her spare time shopping for clothes. Joyce was also a dedicated Kentucky Wildcat Basketball fan. Her most favorite time was being able to spend time with her family.
Joyce is survived by two sons, Rich (Joella) Gossett of Du Quoin, Illinois and Bobby Gossett of Du Quoin, Illinois; three grandchildren, Caitlin (Josh) Cushman of Du Quoin, Illinois, Colby Williams (Valley Chandler) of Pinckneyville, Illinois, and Cannon Gossett of Du Quoin, Illinois; three great grandchildren, Winton, Penelope, and Magnolia; and a very special cousin, Carolyn Sullivan of Cunningham, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Bob Gossett; a brother, Jerry Gibson; and her parents, Richard and Gertrude Gibson.
A private family service will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Tim Gossett officiating.
