Joyce Rinella, born on November 27, 1931, in Herrin, Illinois, passed away on October 7, 2026, on the very day she and Joe would have celebrated 76 years of marriage.

Joyce lived a life marked by steadfast Christian faith and a gentle spirit. She was a devoted member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church, where her presence reflected the sincerity of her beliefs and the kindness she extended to others. Her daily reading of the Bible was an important part of her life, and her strong faith guided her through each season with grace and trust in God’s care. Those who knew Joyce will remember her as a woman of deep conviction, humble character, and enduring strength.

She also possessed a remarkable talent for quilting, piece quilting, and sewing. Joyce had an eye for detail and a patient hand, and she found joy in creating beautiful works that were both practical and heartfelt. Much of her time was spent making quilts for babies, a labor of love that reflected her tenderness and generosity. Through her hands, she created warmth and comfort for little ones and a lasting expression of care for the families who received her work.

Above all else, Joyce cherished her family. Spending time with them was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment shared with those she loved. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she delighted in their presence, their laughter, and the happiness they brought her. She embraced her role as a mother with deep love and pride, and it was one of the greatest blessings of her life. Her family knew her as a source of comfort, encouragement, and unwavering support, and her influence will remain with them always.

Joyce’s life was one of purpose, devotion, and quiet service. She understood the value of simple blessings and found meaning in the everyday acts of faithfulness that so often speak the loudest. Whether through her church life, her Bible reading, or the quilts she lovingly stitched, she lived in a way that honored her beliefs and enriched the lives of those around her. Her example will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Robert Rinella (Lynn) of Aviston, Illinois, John Rinella (Michelle) of Paducah; one son-in-law, Bob Martin of Paducah; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
