Judith May “Judy” Hipkiss Frensley, age 79, of Paducah, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Providence Pointe.
Judy was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and Murray State University. She was a preschool teacher at Crittenden County for 23 years until her retirement. Judy loved her family, art, music, and a good glass of wine.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Katie Oldham of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Noah Carpenter and Claire Carpenter of Charlotte, North Carolina; niece, Debra Wallace of Paducah; nephews, James Pigage (Sharon) of West Columbia, South Carolina, Michael Pigage (Debra) of Athens, Georgia, Tommy Pigage (Jacque) of Hopkinsville; great- niece, Amber Sanderson (Kyle) of Paducah; great-nephew, Matthew J. Wallace (Haley) of Hickory great-great-nephew, Brady J. Sanderson of Paducah; special friends, Jeff Oldham, Kenny Bremer, Jenny Boyarski and Jake Francek and her beloved companion, Peanut.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Frensley; son, Samuel Oldham; parents, Charles R. and Mary Louise Proto Hipkiss; two sisters, Glenda Wooley and Marilyn Hipkiss; one brother, Charles Hipkiss; and one nephew, Richard K. Wallace.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gaither at West Park, Providence Pointe, and Lisa Miller with Mercy Palliative Care for all the love, kindness, support, and compassion shown during this difficult time.
Per Judy’s request, there will be no services.
