June Marie Bolte Stewart, age 85 of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Gaither Suites.  June was born on June 14, 1940, to J.B. Bolte and Agatha Clark Bolte.  June was a long-time member of Heartland Worship Center where she volunteered with the Children’s Ministry for many years.  June had a deep love and passion for working with children, not only at church, but working as Cafeteria Manager at St. Mary Elementary School for over 20 years.  June was also a former member of the Kentucky School Food Association and the National Food Association.

June’s unique sense of humor and infectious, yet stubborn, positivity brought happiness and joy to all who were lucky to be in her presence.  She was happiest when working in her beautiful flower garden, playing a game of scrabble with her family, or cheering on the UK Wildcats basketball team.  She also loved cooking with her 7 grandchildren, and later, her 9 great grandchildren - just don’t ask her for the recipe.  It was always a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.  She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Michael Stewart (Sandra), Fresno, California, Debra Bell (Dennis), Paducah, Kentucky and Greg Stewart (Debbie), Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Linda Moore, (Delbert), Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Seven grandchildren, Matthew Bell (Arielle), Dustin Bell (Allison), Heather Stewart, Tracy Bell, Allison Tennessen, Katie Flournoy (Hank) and Kelly Wilson (Mack); nine great-grandchildren, Matthew Bell, Leah Bell, Tamera Graham, Gianna Bell, Deacon Bell, Davin Bell, Margot Bell, Myra Bell, and Harlem Boyd.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Former Paducah Fire Chief William Gerald Stewart, her parents (J.B. Bolte and Agatha Clark Bolte), and her daughter, Johnna Sue Stooksbury.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1 P.M at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah. Services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m., with Bryan Phelps officiating.  Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Heartland Church Children’s Ministry, 4777 Alben Barkley Drive, Paducah, KY 42001.
