Katie Lee Terry, of Eddyville, Kentucky, passed away on April 2, 2026, at her home.

Born in Carlisle County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John Hardin Davis and Katie Lee Fisher Davis.  Katie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else.  She worked hard all of her life, including assisting her husband in the running of a successful dry-cleaning business with dedication and pride, and taking joy in helping others throughout her life.

She loved the challenge and camaraderie of playing Bridge, enjoyed the relaxation and sport of golf, and found comfort and strength in studying the Bible. She was an active member of Versailles United Methodist Church, where she shared her warmth and kindness with everyone.

Katie is survived by her children, sons, Bill Terry (Susan) of Savannah, Georgia, and David Terry (Belinda “Diddy”) of Eddyville, Kentucky, and daughter, Barbara Barry (Mark) of Springboro, Ohio. She also leaves behind her grandchildren:  Matthew Terry, Rick Wicker (Carrie), Jessica Pearson (Tim), Joyce Wicker, Erica Wicker, Jessica Villagaray (Pablo), Stephen Terry (Mariah), Robert Barry, Patrick Barry, and Nick Barry (Courtney); and great-grandchildren:  Allexis Terry-Smith (Ethan), Jacob Terry, Manzeke Villagaray, Ethan Villagaray, Riley Chadwell, Owen Wicker, Kaden Chadwell, Nolan Wicker, Emily Terry, Nora Terry, Timmy Pearson, Avery Villagaray, Isla Barry, and Banks Pearson; and great-great-granddaughter, Aria Smith.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Purvis Terry, Sr.; sisters, Mary Beard and Clara Tanner; brothers, Reid Davis and Felix Davis; and grandson, Daniel Terry.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Old Bardwell Cemetery in Bardwell, Kentucky, with Rev. David Terry officiating. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the love she shared so freely.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the perpetual memorial fund to support Christ’s work at Eddyville Methodist Church.  Donations should be marked "in memory of Katie Terry” and be sent to 214 Jenkins Road, Eddyville, Kentucky 42038.
