Kenny Crass, age 53, of Paducah, passed away on June 7, 2026, at U of L Health Jewish Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1973, in Paducah, Kentucky, and lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Kenny spent 13 years with the Local 500 Painters Union, where he earned a reputation for reliability, dedication, and a strong work ethic. In the last few years of his career, he worked as a foreman and operator at Heartland Excavating. There, he continued to lead by example, taking pride in doing every job the right way. Coworkers and friends respected him for the care he put into his work and the steady, dependable presence he brought to every team.

More than anything, Kenny loved his wife and children. His family was the center of his world, and he found joy in every role he played as a husband and father. He especially loved being a dance and cheer dad, always trying to guess what stunt would come next. He enjoyed the thrill of being a racing dad, making sure everything was perfect before each race, and he took pride in being a sports dad who wanted every play executed just right. Kenny raced with his own dad until his father could no longer do it, and later his daughter, Blaklee, carried on the tradition using her grandfather’s number. Kenny treasured every moment he spent racing with her and the memories they created together.

Kenny had a deep love for horses and dogs and appreciated the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed spending time on the lake, sharing meals with family and friends at Texas Roadhouse, and never turned down strawberry cake or banana pudding. His taste in music was wide-ranging, and no one ever knew what he might play next-anything from old country to rap. His personality was full of life, and he brought energy, humor, and warmth wherever he went.

He was a loyal friend and a bonus dad to any kid who needed one. Kenny had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. His kindness left a lasting impression on many lives. He was the kind of man who showed up when he was needed and gave freely of his time, his heart, and his support.

Kenny was a member of Spring Bayou Baptist Church. He had a deep love for the Lord and enjoyed attending a weekly men's Bible study group at Oscar Baptist. His faith was an important part of his life, and he carried himself with a spirit of forgiveness and grace that reflected the values he held dear. Those who knew him will remember that if everyone forgave the way Kenny did, the world would be a better place.

Kenny Crass will be remembered for his devotion to family, his strong work ethic, his love of racing and music, and the kindness he extended to everyone around him. His life was a blessing to many, and his memory will remain in the hearts of all who loved him.
