Kim Brittain, 68, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on January 4, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Kim was born on July 20, 1957, in Paducah and attended Melber Baptist Church.  Her dedication to her community was evident throughout her years as a devout Monitor Tech at Lourdes Hospital, where her talent and tireless work ethic left an indelible mark. She further extended her commitment to service through her valued involvement with Easterseals West Kentucky, touching lives with her warmth and generosity. Her passion for helping others was not just a career but a calling that manifested in every task she undertook.

Kim's love for music was the melody of her life, bringing joy not only to her but also to everyone who knew her. Her hands, so often busy at work or open in prayer, found pleasure in crafting wreaths-a testament to her artistic spirit and her desire to create beauty and joy in the world. These wreaths, much like her presence, brought warmth and color to many homes.
Kim is survived by her husband of 50 years, Shayne Brittain; a daughter, Shanna Brittain of Paducah; two grandchildren, Gunner Hawes (Genesis) of Mayfield, and Abby Hawes of Ballard County, Kentucky; a great-grandson, Parker Hawes; her mother, Ann Moris Cooper of Paducah; a sister, Morisann Thompson of Hickory, Kentucky; and two brothers, Billy Cooper of Hickory, Kentucky and Van Cooper of Paducah.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Cooper.

There will be no services.
