Kimberly Shea, 53, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home with her sister, Christy Dunn, and niece, Lidia Vazquez, by her side, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She has now gone to rest in heaven with her devoted father, Tom Shea.
Kimberly was a graduate of the Murray State University Nursing Program and dedicated 18 years of her life serving others as a Registered Nurse. She was known for her compassion, kindness, and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. Her patients and colleagues alike were touched by her gentle spirit and caring nature. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A true animal lover, Kimberly adored her adopted cats, Max and Tommy, who were her constant companions and brought her endless happiness. She had a special place in her heart for all animals and found joy in caring for them.
In accordance with her wishes, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to The McGangsters, a local nonprofit cat rescue in Paducah dedicated to spaying, neutering, feeding, and finding homes for feral and injured cats. Per Kimberly’s wishes, no public services are planned.
