Lacy Eulene Mitchell Liles, age 90, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Lacy was born in Smithland, Kentucky, on August 18, 1934, to the late Orville and Opal Mitchell. She was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Lacy worked as an Elementary School Teacher for over 36 years and taught at many local schools, including Reidland, Farley, and Hendron school systems. She was also very involved in the McCracken County Retired Teachers Association and the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association. Lacy spent much of her free time as an active member of the Red Hat Club of Paducah.
Lacy is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Richard) Cox of Paducah; her son, Sidney (Leslie) Liles of Carmi, Illinois; three grandchildren, Barbie (B.J.) Clark of Paducah, Katie Liles (Aaron Swain) of Ledbetter, Kentucky, and Rachel Liles (Brian Beason) of Norris City, Illinois; four great-grandchildren, Travis Williams, T.J. Williams, Kit Clark, and Bryce Beason.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Billy Charles Liles, Sr.; her son, Billy Charles Liles, Jr.; her brother, Orville James Mitchell, Jr.; and her parents.
Graveside services for Lacy will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Miller Cemetery in Smithland, Kentucky. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
