Leonard William “Len” Harper
 
Len Harper, 59, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at his residence.

Len was born April 2, 1967, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, and spent his childhood in Granite City, Illinois, before later moving to Paducah. Len was the owner of Harper Truck & Auto, a business that reflected his strong work ethic and practical nature. He approached his work with commitment and care, and he was proud to provide service that others could count on. In addition to his own business, he sponsored Creek Side Towing, further demonstrating his support for local efforts and his connection to the surrounding community.

Faith was also an important part of Len’s life. He was a member of High Point Pentecostal Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual strength.

Outside of work and church, Len found joy in simple pleasures and time spent with the people and places that mattered most to him. He enjoyed camping, mowing, going to the beach, and visiting the mountains. These interests reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and for the peace that could be found in quiet moments and familiar routines. He especially liked helping others, and he was the kind of person who did not hesitate to lend a hand when someone was in need. His generosity of spirit was one of his most enduring qualities.

Above all else, Len loved his grandchildren. They brought him great happiness, and he treasured the time he spent with them.
 
Len is survived by his wife, Lisa Ann King Harper; two daughters, Arianna Ligon Duckwyler (Adam) of Paducah, and Lindsay Harper Parrott (Austin) of West Paducah; three sons, Ronnie Harper (Alexis) of Lebanon, Illinois, Shawn Sullivan (Brittany) of West Paducah, and JR Poley of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Ivan, Amelia, Aurora, Serenity, Maverick, and Addie; his father and step-mother, Leonard and Gloria Harper of Granite City, Illinois; a sister, Crystle Peters of Metropolis, Illinois; two brothers, Daryl Harper of Granite City, Illinois, and Darrell Butler of LaCenter, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Sheree Ligon of Hardon, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Odell Weston, and a son, Alan Ligon.
 
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, with Rev. Doug Stevens and Rev. Cornell Shackleford officiating.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
