Linda Rose Holt, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on December 11, 2025, at the Parkview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center at the remarkable age of 88. Linda was born on June 24, 1937. She enjoyed her work and developed lasting friendships with her coworkers at the Deena Lamp Factory in nearby Arlington. Linda will be remembered for her love of cooking and canning.
Linda's hands were rarely still, and she found purpose in the art of homemaking. She earned her valuable reputation through the meals she prepared for her family, friends, and neighbors. She loved to fish and was able to tell vivid stories, weaving tales that captivated the minds and hearts of her listeners.
Linda's love for flowers was evident through her style and decorations. Her collection of rabbit figurines was more than a hobby; it was a symbol of the joy and playfulness that she brought into every aspect of her life.
Above all, Linda treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her boundless positivity and love. Her Baptist faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and reinforcing her commitment to community service. Linda volunteered at His House in LaCenter, where she extended her nurturing nature to those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
Linda is survived by her four sisters, Rickie Joyce Graves, Amanda Lois Ford, Fran Dickerson, and Regina Davison; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Donald Thomas Holt; her parents, Ralph Rogers Crews and Kitty Ann Pool Crews Horn; her two daughters, Donna Rose Walker and Rhonda Lynn Drew; and two great-grandchildren, Shawn Culp and Sawyer Underwood.
A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. Stan Durrett officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. and continue until the service starts at 1 P.M.
