Lorraine Alammo-Bassett

Lorraine Alammo-Bassett, 69, a longtime resident of Paducah, Kentucky, and native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 17, 2026. Born on October 15, 1956, Lorraine lived a life filled with devotion, compassion, and service to others.

Lorraine was known throughout her career as a determined, energetic person who brought passion to everything she did. Her work was never just about her own success; she devoted herself to helping others grow and to strengthening the community she loved. Faith was also central to Lorraine’s life. She believed deeply in the power of community and found comfort and joy in her church family. She cared for her church family with the same warmth she brought to her garden and her beloved chickens. Wherever she went, she planted kindness and connection.

Lorraine also loved celebrating traditions. Every holiday became a special event in her home, which she transformed with festive decorations and a joyful spirit. Her generosity was constant, not tied to any season. She made it her mission to bring happiness to others, offering help and compassion to anyone-friend, neighbor, or stranger-who needed it.

Her commitment to helping others extended far beyond her own neighborhood. Lorraine founded ROCFTS (Rescue Our Children From The Streets), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable youth. Through this work, she provided safety, guidance, and hope to many young people, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Hosbach; daughter, Paula Quillin (Bud); son, Brandon Boyd (Brittany); sisters, Patricia Pangus (Dave), Debbie Uden (Curt); brothers, John Johnson, Tim Padgett (Barbara); 13 grandchildren, Ryan, Christina, Samantha, Steven, Landon, Kylie, Kolton, Klayton, Trevor, Joseph, Destiny, Dylan, Hanna and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Cumminksey; brothers, Charles Padgett and Jim Padgett; and parents, Robert and Eleanor Padgett.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Dennis Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
