Madonna York Baker, age 79, of Paducah, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.

Madonna was born in Paducah on January 2, 1947, to Joseph and Nancy Kathleen York. She was a member of Fountain Avenue Methodist Church and worked at Heil Beauty Supply. Madonna enjoyed watching UK Basketball, volunteering at the Carson Center, traveling, and shopping. She loved all animals, but her dog, Zoe, was her favorite.

Madonna is survived by her special niece, Monica Dean; four step-sisters, Julia Hannan (David), Jeannie Snodgrass (Steve), Jane Ellen Viterisi, Joan Chambers (Jimmy); two step-brothers, Joe Viterisi, Jr., Johnny Raffidy (Georgie); her loving companion of 11 years, Billy Shelby, along with many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Baker; mother and stepfather, Nancy Kathleen and Joe Viterisi; father and stepmother, Joseph and Emma York; mother-in-law, Faye Baker; and her dog, Zoe.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Rosebower Church Cemetery with Bobby Lindsey of Unleashed In Christ Ministries officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
