Margie Davis, 86, of West Paducah, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. Upon her passing, she was reunited with her husband Willard B. Davis, whom she was longing to see. She was born on December 16, 1939, in East Gadsden, Alabama, to the late Forrest and Jewell Givens Kelley.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Margie retired from her administrative duties at USEC in Paducah after years of faithful service. Faith was an important part of Margie’s life, and she was a devoted member of Spring Bayou Baptist Church for more than 60 years. Her long-standing membership reflected not only her commitment to her church family, but also her deep and abiding faith.
Margie also found joy in the simple and beautiful things of life. She enjoyed needlework, a pastime that reflected her patience, creativity, and attention to detail. She loved to cook and bake, and took pleasure in preparing food that brought comfort and happiness to those around her.
Margie is survived by her two sons, Richard B. (Sheri) Davis of Mt. Washington, KY, and Mickey (Sheila) Davis of West Paducah; her five grandchildren, Austin (Ashley) Davis of Paducah, Lance (Bethany) Davis of Paducah, Josh (Katie) Davis of Louisville, Alex (Haley) Davis of Ft. Drum, NY and Bailey (Blake) Bradley of Paducah; her seven great-grandchildren, Henry Davis, Shepherd Davis, Rhett Davis, James Davis, Lyla Davis, Piper Bradley, Macie Davis and her niece, Lisa Kelley.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Willard B. Davis, and a brother, Larry Kelley.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2026, at Spring Bayou Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jared Hayes, Rev. Wes Morehead, and Rev. Terry Tipton officiating. There will be no visitation. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of all arrangements.
