Marilyn Hester Chambers, 71 (a Paducah native), passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah. She was born on March 10, 1954, in Paducah, Ky, to the late Curtis Earl Brown and Wilmoth Aeline Barnhill.
Marilyn found joy in the company of her grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her unwavering support and boundless affection. She was the heart of family gatherings, leaving memories that her loved ones will treasure forever.
An avid fan of the latest Netflix series, Marilyn could often be found recounting the twists and turns of her favorite shows. Marilyn also embraced the digital age, playing games on her phone and enjoying attending concerts. Marilyn loved to dance and enjoyed teaching others as a dance instructor.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Tim Crass of Paducah; a brother, Ronnie Boswell of Paducah; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Knight, Timothy Tyler Crass, Devin Crass, and Layla Crass; one great-grandchild, Feyra Crass, and her grand fur baby, Coco Remae Crass, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dennis “Butch” Brown, and her two sisters, Carolyn Tilley and Jessie Jeanette Lawrence.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be at a later date. Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah are handling all arrangements.
