Marilyn Sue Knight

Marilyn Sue Knight, 89, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health Lourdes.

She was born on January 15, 1937 in Calvert City, Kentucky to the late Tommy Franklin Hamilton and Tula Jane Butler Hamilton. Marilyn was retired from Kroger’s where she worked in the Deli, she also had worked at CTS. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, which she loved. Marilyn enjoyed reading and studying the bible and quoting scripture. She was a graduate of Lowes High School and enjoyed watching University of Kentucky Basketball.
 
Marilyn is survived by her son, Steven Knight of Piney Flats, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Mallory (Nate) Smith, Haley Benz, Dylan (Sarah) Knight, Devin Knight and Davis Knight; four great-grandchildren, Wilder Smith, Lillian Jane Smith, Jane Knight and Eden Benz and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Knight; sister, Martha Lunell Beadles; three brothers, Delbert Hamilton, Duward Hamilton and Donnie Hamilton; and her parents.
 
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Larry Davidson and John Knight officiating.
 
There will be no public visitation.
