Mark Anthony “Tony” Cissell, 70, passed away on June 17, 2026, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Born on July 24, 1955, in Paducah, Tony lived a life shaped by steady dedication, quiet strength, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joys that made each day meaningful. He was a 1973 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School and attended Murray State University.

Tony worked for Florida Light and Power in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Union Carbide, and then at EEI for 30-plus years, where he also served on the board of directors. Tony also served on the safety committee and was an OSHA representative for Operating Engineers Local 148. He took pride in his work, and those who worked with him valued his calm, capable presence. On special occasions, you could find Tony behind the grill cooking for those at work or helping with charitable events.

Outside of work, Tony enjoyed a life full of outdoor activities and lasting friendships. In his younger years, he loved boating and fishing, and he found real enjoyment in hunting. He also spent many years riding his Harley, embracing the freedom of the open road. Later in life, he took up golfing. He appreciated both the game and the time spent outdoors. While he was a proud member of Rolling Hills Country Club, where he enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie of the community, he also enjoyed playing golf in Florida.

Tony was a member of Lovelaceville Baptist Church. He carried himself with sincerity, humility, and a kind heart. Tony served on several committees throughout his career, including the West KY Easter Seals Telethon of Stars, Relay for Life, United Way, and the American Heart Association. Those who knew him will remember the steady spirit he brought to every part of his life and the genuine way he cared for the people and places that mattered most to him.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Holley Winnans (Jeremy) of Kevil; four grandchildren, Tyler Green, Mason Corzine (Rana), Connor Winnans, Ella Winnans; one great-granddaughter, Maislee Corzine; cousin, Phillip Riley; a sister-in-law; two nieces; one nephew, and a host of loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cissell and Ima Mae Malone Cissell, and his brother, Rickie Cissell.
