Mark Todd Gruber, known affectionately by friends and family as “Turd”, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on September 28, 1959, in Waterloo, Iowa, Mark lived a life characterized by a robust sense of honor, love, and a loyalty that knew no bounds. A true embodiment of a loving father with a heart of gold, Mark's life was a source of generosity to those around him.

A longtime member of the Sons Of Silence Motorcycle Club, Mark found solace and camaraderie on the open road alongside his brothers in the wind. His association with the club was not merely a pastime; it was an essential thread woven into the fabric of his life. His involvement became synonymous with the spirit of adventure that he carried with him in all his endeavors. Mark lived his days with the throttle wide open, fueled by curiosity and desire to explore.

Behind his rugged exterior was a man who held a tender affinity for his family and friends. He approached his role as a father with unwavering dedication, showering his children with love and serving as an exemplary figure of affection and support. Around him, loved ones felt an atmosphere ripe with kindness and a prevailing sense of safety, knowing that Mark was a pillar of protection and wisdom.

His journey through life was one marked by the tireless pursuit of joy and the cultivation of relationships that stood the test of time. Wherever Mark went, he created moments of happiness and left behind echoes of laughter. His life, admired and cherished, will forever be celebrated by those who were honored to know him. Mark Todd Gruber will be deeply missed but remembered with warmth and smiles for all the golden memories he bestowed upon us.

Mark is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debra Sue Johnson Gruber; his sons, Jeffrey James Gruber (his Jeb) of Whitehouse, Texas and Joseph Paul Gruber (Livewire) and his wife Bianca Marie of Paducah, Kentucky; his eight grandchildren, Eden Jay Anderson (his Angel Eyes), Ethan Jebediah Gruber (his Big Man), Mark Lewis Todd Gruber (his Little Bear), Haylee Marie Gruber (his HayHay), Alice Wolf Elizabeth Gruber (his Little Joe), Dana Lo (Last One), Rose Gruber (his Brazilin Nut), Annabell Leigh Martin (his Little Bell), Isabell Renee Martin (his Little Izzie Girl); his daughters-in-law, Maggie “Magpie” Gruber and Ellie Louise Martin; and a Nation of Sons of Silence Brothers.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill Beverly Gruber and Emma Marie Lorenzen.

A memorial celebration of Mark’s life will be held by the family in the near future.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
