Marvin E. Dickirson

Marvin E. Dickirson, age 82, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 10:45 P.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in his home.

Marvin was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois on December 15, 1939 to Roy Dewey and Georgia Mahala Martin Dickirson. Everyone who knew Marvin, knew him as someone who had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. His greatest joy was his family and wood working.  He attended Twelve Oaks Baptist Church, was a third degree Master Mason and a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran.
 
Mr. Dickirson is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Dickirson; his two daughters, Angela Dickirson Stines (Randy) of Louisville, Kentucky and Chris Prebe Stoney (Brian) of Byesville, Ohio; four sons, Brian Dickirson (Kim) of Choctaw, Oklahoma,  Barry Dickirson of South Bend, Indiana, Craig Prebe (Danielle) of Clearfield, Pennsylvania and Curt Prebe of Paducah, Kentucky; his sister, Virginia Arrowood of Ft. Myers, Florida. He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister; Dorothy Dobbs; his three brothers, Robert Dickirson, Byron Dickirson, Donald Dickirson; and his parents.

A graveside service with military funeral honors is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 9, 2022 at Highland Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky with Pastor Boogie Butler officiating.
No public visitation will be held.
