Marvin John King passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center. He was born in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Marvin John King and Edith Braboy King.

Marvin was a meat cutter for many years, retiring from U.S. Foodservice. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career.

Marvin was a devoted husband, father, and Grandpa who truly cherished time spent with his family. He enjoyed playing men’s softball for many years and later found great joy in coaching his grandchildren’s baseball teams, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on. He also loved watching sports and could often be found enjoying a good game.

Marvin and his beloved wife of 53 years, Jackie, shared many special memories camping together, especially during their trips to Birmingham Point Campground in Benton, Kentucky. Those times brought him great happiness and were moments he truly treasured.

He was also a fan of classic Western films, with Roy Rogers being his favorite.

Marvin and Jackie were longtime members of Heartland Church and held their faith close throughout the years.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Jackie King of Paducah, Kentucky; one daughter, Rebecca Dawson of Paducah, Kentucky; two sons, Matthew (Heather) King of Benton, Kentucky, and Jay (Erika) King of Paducah, Kentucky; two sisters, Cynthia Wells of Adrian, Michigan, and Sharon Sievers of Tucson, Arizona; and ten grandchildren, Nick King, Alison Helton, Madisyn Thomas, Andre King, Diego King, Jace Dawson, Journie Dawson, Tynslee Dawson, Katie King, and Sara King, all of whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the funeral home.
