Michael G. “Mike” Frizzell, age 72, of Clinton, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mike was a member of Columbus Baptist Church and employed by Builders Supply of South Fulton. He was a former co-owner of M&R Construction with his long-time friend, Ronnie Harper. Mike was a founder and former Chief of the Columbus Volunteer Fire Department, former Chief of Hickman County Fire & Rescue, former Deputy Director of Hickman County Emergency Management, and former State Fire & Rescue Instructor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He served nearly 30 years as a volunteer first responder/firefighter for the citizens of Hickman County. Mike’s passion was hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and playing music with his band. In later years, he spent his leisure time at Reelfoot Lake and Barkley Dam fishing with his best friend, bandmate, and co-angler, Randy Wilson of Tennessee.
Michael is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tina Dodson Frizzell; his children, Michael Chad (Chrystal) Frizzell, Devin Kiel (Jessica) Frizzell, Shelly (Ryan) Mullins, Amber (Codi) Matlock, and Michael (Vronika) Frost; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; his sisters, Linda Jo Floyd, Hilda (Glynn) McGee, Mary Ann (Bob) Getz, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Girt and Alta (Tucker) Frizzell, and two sisters -Martha Jane Dennis and Carol Sue Featherstone.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Columbus, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
