Michael Kent Adams passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born in Wickliffe, Kentucky, June 20, 1942, to the late Morgan and Millie Lawrence Adams, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was later stationed in Japan.
Michael was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He served as Vice President of J.A. Jones Construction in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he played a key role in building nuclear power plants. After retiring, he spent 25 years as a consultant with General Electric, working on power plants worldwide. His expertise in reading and negotiating contracts was unmatched.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Adams; children, Kathy Smith (Michael) of Edmond, Oklahoma, Gina Frey of Paducah, and Jamie Huskey (John) of Paducah; grandchildren, Michelle Smith (Ken Gasper), Nathaniel Smith (Lynette), Josh Frey (Jenn Grove), Jennifer Frey, McKenzie Huskey Murphy (Jordan), and Hutch Huskey; and great-grandchildren, Harper Smith, Scarlet Smith, and Teagan Murphy; he is also survived by his brother, Glen Owen Adams (Rosemary) of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Adams.
There will be no services scheduled at this time. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Michael will be remembered as a man who worked hard and loved his family even harder.
