Michael Knighten, 62, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on September 11th, 2026, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Michael attended Lone Oak High School and was a former carpenter who also worked in construction, helping with plumbing and other tasks. He loved fishing, riding his e-bike, and watching NASCAR, especially Martin Truex Jr. His faith in Jesus was very important to him as he attended Heartland Church and more recently, Southland Baptist Temple. He loved his mother and his family meant everything to him. He will be remembered for his grateful spirit and willingness to help others.
Michael is survived by his mother, Glenda Newton; three sons, Michael Brandon Knighten (Erica) of Orlando, Florida, Christopher Knighten of Bonifay, Florida and Jeremy Blais; three sisters, Carrie Crawford (Joey), Shanna Knighten and Kimberly Knighten; one brother, Jeff Newton (Lisa); and one grandson, Jaxon Knighten.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Knighten and one brother, Timothy Newton.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bud Russell officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
