Michael Lynn Gipson

Michael Lynn Gipson, 77 of Paducah passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah. He was born on September 8, 1946, in Paducah, KY to Roy Thomas and Eva Cristine Jerrell Gipson.

Michael was a 1964 graduate of Heath High School and went on to further his education at Western Kentucky University, where he cultivated a deep understanding and love for business and finance. He had a passion for baseball and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. His kindness and passion also extended into the classroom, where he generously shared his knowledge and experience by teaching business classes at St. Mary High School and serving as the coach for the baseball team. His academic achievements laid a strong foundation for his successful career in banking, where he first served the community at Citizens Bank and later retired from First Kentucky Bank. Michael was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Jean Garland Gipson of Paducah; his daughter, Megan Elizabeth Gipson of Paducah; one brother, Danny (Susan) Gipson of Villa Hills, KY; a step-nephew, William (Katherine) Dotson of Lexington, KY; a step-niece, Stephanie (Rob) Wessel of Ft. Mitchell, KY and a brother-in-law, Max Garland of Eau Claire, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a infant brother, Jerrell Keith Gipson.

A memorial visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
