Mina L. Mitchell

Mina L. Mitchell, 91, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation in Paducah.

She was born on August 25, 1934, in Livingston County, Kentucky, to the late Edward F. Dickerson and Ora Lee (Mitchell) Dickerson. Mina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and devoted nurse. She dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her profession and within her family. She will be remembered for her compassion, strength, and unwavering love for those closest to her.

Mina was a proud graduate of Western Baptist Hospital Nursing School in 1970. She served faithfully as a nurse for over 30 years, working at Salem Hospital, Western Baptist, and Lourdes Hospital. Even after retirement, Mina continued her life of service and thrived as a volunteer at Lourdes Hospital, where she found great joy in helping others.

She was a devoted member of Paducah First Baptist Church and in her later years attended Gospel Mission Worship Center, remaining steadfast in her Christian faith throughout her life. Mina was a devoted Christian who lived her life with grace, kindness, and deep love for the Lord.

She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment spent with them. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her beloved husband, Robert, creating many treasured memories together.

She is survived by her brother, Bobby J. (Sandra) Dickerson of Marion, Kentucky; her three children, Debbie Sims of Paducah, Catherine (James) Wright of Calvert City, and Ron (Gordon) Mitchell-Smith of Bradenton, Florida; and her five grandchildren, Melanie (Tony) Jarvis of Murray, Kentucky; Adam (Brittany) Sims of Paducah; Jamie Tucker of Cadiz; David (Shannon) Riggin of Owensboro; and Katie (Sam) Howard of Paducah.

She is also survived by her thirteen great-grandchildren: Madison, Reed, and Marley Jarvis; Aiden and Owen Sims; Caitlyn, Emma, Haddie, Mia, and Chelsea Tucker; Max, Danny, and Lucy Howard, along with many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Boyce, her brother, Thomas F. Dickerson, and her sister, Helen Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. James Wright and Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Salem, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
