Oliver Morgan, age 62, of Paducah, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Oliver was born on September 20, 1963, in Mexico City, Mexico, to the late Olegario Valdez and Martha Olivia Morgan.
Oliver spent 23 years as a manager at Los Amigos by the mall, where his steady presence and kind nature made him a familiar and trusted face to so many. He was a man of faith who read his Bible every day, finding comfort and guidance in its pages. He was a member of Community Life Church.
Oliver loved to cook, and he cooked everything from scratch. If you were lucky enough to sit at his table, you knew you were in for something special. His Mole de Olla, enchiladas, Enmoledas, and salsas were favorites among everyone who tasted them - dishes made with care, tradition, and a whole lot of heart.
The greatest joy in Oliver’s life was his son. He loved him deeply and proudly, and that love shaped everything he did. His days off work were always spent with his son making countless memories. Outside of work and family, Oliver enjoyed riding motorcycles and found freedom and happiness on the open road. He was a collector or coins, watches and men’s cologne. Oliver also adored his dogs, Chavo del Ocho and Churrito, who were constant companions and a big part of his everyday life.
Oliver will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a man of faith, a gifted cook, and someone whose kindness showed up in the simplest, most meaningful ways. His presence made life better for the people around him, and his memory will continue to live on in the love he shared and the traditions he leaves behind.
Oliver is survived by his wife of 20 years, Star L. Pope-Morgan; one son, Oliverio Morgan-Pope of Paducah; two sisters, Olga and Olivia; and two brothers, Olegario and Octavio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Concepcion.
Per Oliver's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
