Patricia Ann Martin, age 73, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.

“Pat”, as she was known to most everyone, was born on Friday, August 17, 1951, in Herrin, Illinois, to Joe and Joyce Rinella. She earned her Master’s Degree and taught nursing at West Kentucky Community and Technical College for fifteen years, training the next generation of caregivers. She was a Social Worker, then a Nurse Practitioner, providing compassionate patient care. Pat was a supportive and faithful pastor’s wife who loved her children and grandchildren. She was a thoughtful mother, giving warm hugs to her four children and known as “Mimi” to her seven grandchildren. She was known as “Patty Ann” by her two younger brothers and took great joy in their accomplishments. As a loving daughter, she visited her mother almost every Sunday and often found joy watching musicals at Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Pat was artistic and liked to quilt and knit. She looked forward to learning new skills and admired the talents of others. She will be remembered for the encouragement she brought to those around her.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, whom she loved, Bob Martin; her daughters, Abigail Gehrke (Tom) of Thompson Station, Tennessee, and Priscilla Morrison (Kenny) of Louisville, Kentucky; her sons, Joseph Martin (Jessica) and Daniel Martin, all of Paducah; her mother, Joyce Ann Stauder Rinella of Paducah; her brothers, Bob Rinella (Lynn) of Aviston, Illinois and John Rinella (Shelley) of Paducah; her grandchildren, Zane and Scott Gehrke, Jessalynn, Miles and Oliver Martin, Griffin and Arthur Morrison.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her father, Joe Rinella, Jr., from whom she got her humor and wittiness.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to help cover the unexpected costs of her sudden passing. https://gofund.me/c82490d4.
