Patricia Miller Story

Patricia Miller Story, 66, of Paducah, passed peacefully at Baptist Health Paducah on Thursday, November 11, 2021 with her husband Robert at her side. Patricia was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 6, 1955 to the late Kathryn McCue Miller and Theodore Miller, Jr. Raised in Louisville, she learned to love the viola through the public school string program.
 
She attended the University of Louisville for both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees with a viola emphasis. Upon completion, she was a violist with the Louisville Orchestra with whom she made several acclaimed recordings, performed at Carnegie Hall and was elected Musicians Committee representative.
 
In 1985, Patty and Bob relocated to Paducah. In Paducah, she served as Principal Violist for 32 years and Board Member with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra. She also was the co-founder of the Serenade Strings Quartet, and Owner and Founder of Symphony Supply in Paducah. For many years, she was also the string orchestra director at St Mary’s.
 
Patricia Story is survived by her husband Robert of 43 years; sons Theodore and Aaron Story of Paducah; and sister Mary Miller Barkley of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her parents.
 
A funeral mass is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Fr Basilio Az Cuc officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 10:45 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rosary/Prayers beginning at 10:30 A.M.
