Patricia “Pat” A. Harper, 78, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 10 at 6:42 a.m. at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Pat was surrounded by family when she peacefully transitioned to her eternal home in Heaven.

Pat was born and raised in Paducah, where she attended the St. Mary School System. She later graduated from Paducah Community College and Murray State University. Her long and successful career was spent serving people as an accountant and as an entrepreneur, owning and operating Jet Express, with hard work, integrity, and professionalism. Pat was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Gospel Mission Worship Center. Her love for the LORD was first and foremost in her life and fueled her love and care for her family.

Pat is survived by her son, Dr. Eddie Doughty, and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Jessica Bouland, Sherece Sullivan, Chase Burns and husband Sam, Gavin Doughty, and Griffyn Doughty; great-grandchildren, Ayva and Sammy; sister, Elaine Crenshaw and husband Ricky; sister-in-law, Nancy Pierce; and nieces and nephews and their children.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jim Harper; daughter, Sherry Knight; father, Raymond Pierce; mother, Mildred Pierce; and brother, Tony Pierce.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jim Wright officiating. Burial will follow at New Edwards Cemetery in Benton.
