Robert Dale Lynn, affectionately known as Dale to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at the age of 88 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was born on July 10, 1937, in Stewart County, Tennessee, and from the very beginning, he brought energy, humor, and a big heart to the people around him.
Dale was a man who lived his faith in real, practical ways. He was a member and very active in numerous committees at Newton Creek Baptist Church, where he proudly served as the oldest member of The Truth Troop puppet ministry at Newton Creek Baptist Church, always making sure the lights and equipment were just right so every show could bring smiles and encouragement to others. He spent more than fifty years as a pipefitter with TVA through Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 184, building a career marked by hard work, skill, and friendships that lasted long after he retired. His coworkers continued to rely on his know-how and enjoyed his company just as much as ever.

He also poured his talents into one of his favorite traditions as a 50-year member of the Grahamville Masonic Lodge #707 F&AM, where he served as Past Master, Past Grand Master, and 32nd Degree of Scottish Rite and happily cooked country ham and red gravy for their monthly breakfast fundraiser. Those mornings were about more than food — they were about community, laughter, and the kind of togetherness Dale helped create wherever he went.

Sports were another big part of his life. He loved cheering on UK Basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals. At home, he took great pride in keeping his yard in top shape, earning the Yard of the Month title more than once and impressing everyone who drove by. Dale was also an outdoorsman through and through. He had a real gift for training bird dogs, and he and his dogs were a familiar sight at competitions, bringing home numerous awards over the years. His love for horses was yet another way he connected with the outdoors and the animals he cared so much about.

Dale is survived by his wife of 44 years, Alma Lynn; two sons, Alan Lynn of Kevil, Jeff Lynn of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brothers, Tommy Lynn (Mildred) of Eldorado, Illinois, David Lynn (Doris) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and Billy (Barb) Lynn of Kevil; grandson, Zander Lynn (Jessica) of Independence, Kentucky; daughters, Sherrie Davis of Kevil, Jackie Davis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; granddaughters, Brittney Urso (Michael) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jennifer Ballard (Calab) of Kevil; great-grandchildren, Brayden Urso, Preston Ballard and Havic Ballard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Reva Knott Lynn; brother, Rex Lynn; sister-in-law, Norma Lynn; and daughter-in-law, Karolyn Lynn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Jared Hayes officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with Masonic Rites taking place at 7:00 p.m.
