Robert Sigler Jackson, known affectionately to friends and family as Rob, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on November 28, 1974, in the close-knit community of Clinton, Kentucky, Rob’s enduring sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him.
Rob was known for his extraordinary ability to connect with people, which he demonstrated in his work as a server at Flamingo Row in Paducah. His charisma and attentive service left a lasting impression on patrons and colleagues alike. As a gifted artist, Rob found joy in multiple media forms that included the use of pencil sketching, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, and most of all, oil paint. He especially had a talent for portrait work.
Rob's dry wit and clever wordplay never failed to elicit laughter and lighten the hearts of those around him. An avid disc golfer, he would often be found on the course, cracking jokes and challenging his friends to another round. His playful banter and comic timing were as sharp as his disc golf throws, and he was beloved for both.
Most importantly, Rob was a treasured father and grandfather. He instilled in his daughter and granddaughter a sense of fun, an appreciation for the arts, and the importance of laughter. His legacy of kindness, creativity, and wit lives on through them and continues to bring joy to their lives.
Rob is survived by his daughter, Stella Maris Jackson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his brother, Jerry S. (Wendy) Jackson of Paducah; two sisters, Linda Jackson and Judi Jackson Brazzell, both of Paducah; one granddaughter, Finley Anna Jackson-Helwig of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Morris Jackson; his mother, Clara Elizabeth Sigler Jackson Wallace; and one sister, Pat Jackson Gleason.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Flamingo Row in Paducah.
