Ron "Ronnie" Farmer, 74 of Paducah, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation in Paducah. He was born on December 20, 1950, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to the late Andrew Joseph and Mabel Travis Farmer.
Ronnie was the owner/operator of the Singer Sewing Center of Paducah from 1990 to 2005. He later retired after 10 years at VMV Enterprises of Paducah.
Ronnie was a member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church. He enjoyed many activities such as fishing, golf, and watching University of Kentucky basketball with his family and friends. Ronnie also had a love for music, whether it was bluegrass music in the Smoky Mountains, band competitions for his sons, or dusting off his collection of vinyl. Above all, Ronnie was a family man, as his happiest moments were those spent surrounded by his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte Perdue Farmer of Paducah; two sons, Drew Farmer and wife Kaleigh of Paducah and Ross Farmer and wife Hailey of Madison, AL; and six grandchildren — Lilleigh, Luke, Lorelai, Savannah, MacKenzie, and Jonah.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lone Oak with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lone Oak, 3745 Old US Hwy 45 S, Paducah, KY 42003.
