Ronnie Burge, 67, of Cunningham, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on July 2, 2025. Ronnie was born on December 8, 1957, in Jackson, Michigan, to the late Claude “Ted” and Earsie Burge.

After a fulfilling 40 plus year career, Ronnie retired from Williams Sausage, a job he truly loved, and where he was highly respected by his colleagues for his exceptional work ethic and dedication.

For many years, Ronnie served as a mentor and coach, not only to his son but to countless young athletes who had the privilege of learning from him. Ronnie's passion for baseball was more than just a pastime; it was an opportunity to form lasting friendships, learn life lessons, and spread joy. His commitment to the sport extended to his son’s career. Not only did he watch with pride as his son took up coaching, but he also became an integral part of that journey, standing proudly by his side both as a mentor and a father.

Family was the cornerstone of Ronnie's life, and he cherished his grandchildren. To him, every minute spent with his family was an opportunity to show his unwavering support and love. Whether it was at the ball field, hunting, fishing, or rooting for his beloved UK basketball team, his greatest pleasure came from sharing these experiences with the ones he loved most. Those who knew Ronnie understood that being in his circle meant feeling like the most important person in the world.

Ronnie's legacy is one of perpetual optimism, unconditional love, and a life fully embraced. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort the ones dearest to him.

Ronnie is survived by his son, Hunter Burge, and wife, Courtney of Cunningham, his grandchildren, Rawli Jo Burge and Rowan Burge; and one sister, Joyce Carder and her husband, Bobby.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Kinsey Burge; his parents; and one sister, Debbie Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. David Sphinx officiating. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Gardens.
