SaDona Lou Gray, born December 25, 1956, in Beardstown, Illinois, passed away on June 28, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. She lived a life defined by warmth, determination, humor, and a deep commitment to caring for others.
SaDona possessed a rare combination of strength and approachability. She was often described as an outgoing introvert-someone who connected easily with others while remaining genuine and true to herself. Her honesty, authenticity, steadfast convictions, and unmistakable sense of humor made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She had a gift for making people feel comfortable, understood, and valued.
Her professional life reflected her compassionate nature and desire to serve. SaDona began her career as a registered nurse before transitioning into pharmaceutical sales, where she enjoyed tremendous success. During her years with Marion Laboratories, she was recognized as Regional Sales Representative of the Year numerous times, a testament to her exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and ability to build lasting relationships. She later returned to nursing and spent many years as the Rehabilitation Coordinator for Mercy Health. Colleagues and patients alike knew her as someone who could always be counted on, bringing strength, stability, and reassurance to every situation. Caring for others was more than a career-it was her calling.
Above all, SaDona’s greatest joy was being Jack’s mom. Her love for her son was the center of her life and was evident in the unwavering pride, care, and devotion she showed him. She also adored her beloved pets, Rocco and Missy, who brought her comfort, companionship, and endless joy.
SaDona will be remembered for her vibrant personality, steadfast character, generous heart, and the kindness she extended throughout both her professional and personal life. Her legacy of compassion, resilience, authenticity, and service will continue to live on in the lives of those she touched.
SaDona is survived by her son, Jack Reese, and her cousins, Lauren Stoelzle and Tempa Dunn, and a multitude of close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Betty Gray.
Per SaDona’s wishes, a graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Anna City Cemetery in Anna, Illinois, with Bro. Trad York officiating.
