Samuel Robles Velázquez, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished member of his family, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 81.

Samuel was born on January 30, 1945, in Cherán, Michoacán, to Feliciano Robles and Magdalena Velasquez. He lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and love for his family. Samuel worked at Pilgrim’s and in agriculture, spending many years picking strawberries, blueberries, and other crops. He enjoyed his early-morning coffee and taking walks to Walmart whenever he could. After retiring, Samuel enjoyed traveling back to Mexico, where he could spend time in the place he called home and reconnect with the land and memories that meant so much to him. He was also a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where his faith was an important part of his life.

Samuel is survived by his three sons: Pedro Robles, Salvador Robles, and Samuel Robles Jr., who passed away in March of 2023; four daughters: Laura Robles, Aurora Robles, Magdalena Robles, and Delfina Robles; 31 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Samuel’s passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer physically with us, his memory will live on through the lives he touched, the lessons he taught through his hard work, and the love he leaves behind.

Samuel will be remembered for his dedication, his simple joys, and the lasting place he holds in the hearts of his loved ones. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him and carry his legacy forward.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with Rev. Basilio Az Cuc officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Works of Mercy Chapel at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial will be later in Cherán, Michoacán.
