Sandra Jean Harris, 77, passed away on February 27, 2026.
Born March 1, 1948, in Louisiana and raised in Charleston, Tennessee, Sandra lived a life defined by strength, independence, and resilience. From an early age, she stood out for her determination and spirit. She excelled in basketball, playing in both high school and college, and was honored as Homecoming Queen - a reflection of both her confidence and vibrant personality.
Sandra dedicated many years of service to the U.S. Small Business Administration, traveling across the country to assist individuals and communities recovering from natural disasters. Through her work, she helped families and business owners rebuild during some of their most difficult moments of hardship. Her career reflected her steady resolve and her willingness to step forward when others needed help most.
Sandra lived independently for many years and took great pride in her self-sufficiency and in the beautiful home she created. She loved to read, travel, and enjoy life’s simple comforts. She was an avid sports fan, faithfully cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Music was also dear to her heart - especially Elvis Presley - a love that stayed with her from her Tennessee beginnings.
Sandra valued enduring friendships and held her dear friends close to her heart. She shared laughter, stories, and steady companionship with those who walked alongside her through many seasons of life.
Above all, she treasured her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, each of whom brought her great pride and joy.
She is survived by her son, Shane Harris, and daughter-in-law, Angie Harris; her grandchildren, Reed Harris, Desmond Harris, and Isabelle Harris; her sister, Judy Pye; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mark Harris; her sister, Dot Kazy; and her parents, Ann and Harold Bozeman.
No services are planned at this time. The family invites those who wish to honor Sandra to share a memory or photo in remembrance.
