Sandra Scott, 79, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Sandra was born on April 24, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Wilburn and Rita Jackson. She attended Paducah Community College, now known as West Kentucky Community and Technical College, where she earned her associate degree in nursing, and later received her bachelor’s degree. Sandra began her nursing career at a small hospital in Clinton, Kentucky, before joining Lourdes Hospital. She devoted more than twenty years to Lourdes, working in nearly every department before her retirement. Her desire to learn and her determination to know how to do everything were hallmarks of her nursing career.
In her early thirties, Sandra began training for bodybuilding competitions. Although she entered the sport later than many, she found great success through hard work and dedication. A uniquely talented and artistic woman, Sandra expressed her creativity through painting, playing the piano, singing, and crocheting. She enjoyed camping at Kentucky Lake with her husband, Robert, and had a special love for her dogs. Family meant so much to Sandra, and she carried the titles of wife, mother, and grandmother with love and pride.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Robert Scott of Paducah, with whom she celebrated thirty-seven years of marriage on October 20; her daughter, Teresa Kochera of Pennsylvania; her son, Geoffrey (Kathy) Booker of Carlisle County, Kentucky; her brother, Chris Jackson; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Booker, and her brother, Steve Jackson.
There will be no services at this time.
