Sheba Jean Karnes Sams, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Sheba was born on January 12, 1931 in Cairo, Illinois to Ralph and Viola Roots Karnes. She worked as a mortgage banker until her retirement. She was of the Lutheran Faith.
Sheba is survived by three daughters, Linda Bowman (David) of Justin, Texas, Julie Clinton of Washington State, Robin Pursley of Orange County, California; three sons, Keith Brian Spellman of Hemet, California, Marty Spellman of Arizona, Kevin Spellman of Florida; six grandchildren, Ronnie Bowman, Holly Bowman, Ryan Hawks, Ashley Burch, Megan Spellman, Elizabeth Westley; five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Sams; one sister, Mildred Jane Schue; one brother, Larry Karnes.
