Sue was  a graduate of Augusta Tilghman High School  and an active and cherished member of the Paducah community. She enjoyed playing tennis at Noble Park and was a member of the Paducah Tennis Club, and she also loved playing golf and bike riding. Her interests reflected her active nature and her appreciation for time spent outdoors and in good company. In addition to her love of sports and recreation, she was deeply gifted in the arts of quilting, sewing, and knitting. She was a member of the Paducah Quilters Club and she took great satisfaction in creating beautiful and useful things for those around her. She was also a wonderful cook and baker, and many will fondly remember the comfort and care reflected in the meals and treats she prepared.

Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Paducah. There, she shared her talents by playing the piano and singing in the choir. She also participated in the flower ministry and taught the Peacekeepers Sunday School class. Sue’s commitment to missions extended beyond her local church, and she went on several mission trips to Russia.

Sue is survived by her three children, Jan Tilley of Louisville, Marty Clark (Debbie) of Paducah and Carson Clark (Becky) of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Ashley Clark, Martin Clark, Chris Tilley (Sarah), Jon Tilley (Lauren), Jennifer Fick (Colton), Brad Clark (Devon) and Sarah Farris (Justin); thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles Clark; her parents, Calhoun and Pearl Martin; and her brother, Bob Martin.
