Marsha Sue Wills, 72, passed away on August 11, 2025, at her home in Paducah, KY.  She was born on May 13, 1953, in Springfield, MO.

After moving to Paducah, KY in 1990, Sue became a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church where she demonstrated her commitment to her faith and community.  Sue served as Administrative Assistant and Financial Secretary at Fountain Avenue for over 35 years.  She also served as Music Director for over 25 years.

Sue’s faith was the cornerstone of her existence and her Christian beliefs shaped her life and actions, reflecting her compassionate and generous spirit.  She was a woman of many talents and interests.  Sue was also a true people person, with a gift for making everyone she met feel special and valued.

Her musical talents brought a source of joy and comfort, both to her and to all who had the privilege of hearing her play and sing.  Music was an integral part of her life and ministry.

Sue will be remembered not only for her fair and reasonable nature, but also for her unwavering loyalty to her friends and family.  She left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of all she touched with her kindness, grace, and love.

Marsha Sue Wills is survived by her husband, Eddie Smith, brother Stephen Wills of Sparta, MO, children Dylan Rook (Jessica), Preston Rook, Jenny James (Chris), of Paducah, KY, Leslie Knight (Bobby) of Mayfield, KY, Charlie Rook (Elizabeth) of St. Petersburg, FL, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Barbara Jean Wills.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church, 300 Fountain Avenue, Paducah, KY, with Rev. Dan Leslie and Rev. Gregory Waldrop officiating.  Visitation will also be held at the church from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial Contributions may be sent to Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church for the organ fund.
