Tamara DeShea Compton, aged 49 of Kevil, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Tamara was born on December 28, 1975, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Larry and Linda Hawkins Lamb.
A proud 1994 graduate of Heath High School, Tamara's thirst for knowledge and her commitment to service led her to further her education at West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC). There, she earned degrees in Radiography and Diagnostic Medical Sonography, skills she would use to contribute to the health and well-being of her community. Tamara's dedication to her profession was evident in the care she provided to her patients during her tenure at Caldwell County Hospital.
Tamara's service to her country was exemplified by her time in the United States Navy, where she served as a Diesel Mechanic and Lifeguard. Her patriotism and love for her country were matched only by her passion for her community, which she demonstrated through her involvement as a member of Spring Bayou Baptist Church.
An avid reader, Tamara found solace and adventure within the pages of books. Her love for the great outdoors was expressed through her passion for camping and trail riding, activities that allowed her to explore the beauty of nature and the freedom of the open road. Tamara's creative spirit shone brightly in her crafting and scrapbooking projects, where she meticulously preserved memories for future generations to cherish.
Tamara is survived by her husband, Chad Alan Compton of Kevil, KY; a daughter, Alyssa (Dustin) Moore of Blandville, KY; a son, Kade (Brianna) of Kevil, KY; two brothers, Paul Beach of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Mark (Cassie) Lamb of West Paducah, KY; her two best friends, Kyiah Monteleone and Audra Bristoe along with several nieces and nephews.
