Tammy Tabor, 59, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.
Born on October 3, 1966, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Frank and Myrtle Louise Knight Powell, Tammy's life was one marked by enthusiasm, kindness, and an unwavering love for her family and friends. Tammy's fiery personality could light up the darkest room, and her passion for life was as infectious as her laughter. She had a special love for the Fourth of July, as it was her favorite holiday. In her younger years, Tammy was an avid camper, finding peace and contentment in the simplicity of nature. Her love for animals knew no bounds, and she was often surrounded by pets who were drawn to her warmth and caring spirit. Tammy was the kind of person who would lend a hand without hesitation. Her helping and caring nature was evident to all who crossed her path. Above all, Tammy's greatest joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. She invested her heart and time into creating precious memories with them.
