Teresa Diane Travis, known affectionately as "Momma T" to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, passed away peacefully at Baptist Health on December 2, 2025, at the age of 72 in her hometown of Paducah, Kentucky. She was born on July 30, 1953, in the same close-knit community to the late Charles Stalk Cobb and Mary Campbell Cobb.
Teresa was known for her timeless habit of being fashionably late; she brought a sense of joy and anticipation to every gathering. Teresa's one-of-a-kind personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her stories and laughter will be deeply missed. For many years, Teresa was a beloved figure in the Paducah area, serving as a bartender at various local establishments.
Beyond her work, Teresa's passions were simple yet profound. She was an avid fan of "Little House on the Prairie," finding comfort and joy in the timeless tales of family and community. This love was a reflection of her own values, as nothing was more important to Teresa than her family. Her dogs and grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she devoted herself to creating lasting memories with them.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Stephen “Steve” Travis of Kevil, KY; a son, Brandon Wood of Ledbetter, KY; her two grandchildren, Deron Wood of Paducah and Klohe Wood of Ledbetter, KY; and one brother, Ronald D. Cobb of Kevil, KY.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rhonda Cobb.
