Thomas Wayne Brown, 77, of Wickliffe, Kentucky, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his residence.
Born on May 6, 1948, in Cairo, Illinois, Wayne lived a life marked by hard work, faith, and a deep love for his family and the outdoors. Wayne dedicated many years of service to Westvaco, where he retired as a laborer. His colleagues remember him as a man of a strong work ethic and dedication. Before his tenure at Westvaco, Wayne honed his skills as a bricklayer, showcasing his craftsmanship. A devout member of Victory Baptist Church, Wayne's faith was a cornerstone of his existence.
Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who cherished every moment he could spend fishing and hunting. There wasn’t a deer or fish that was safe in Ballard County. These were not just hobbies for Wayne; they made him who he was. Most of all, he loved his family deeply. His devotion to them was evident in every proud story he shared and every moment he encouraged and supported them.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Gordon Brown of Wickliffe, Kentucky; two daughters, Tracy (John) Davidson of Wickliffe and Lorrinda (Dale) Guetersloh of Metropolis, Illinois; a son, Timothy (Heather) Brown of Wickliffe; eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Mike) Rushing, Daniel (Kristy) Davidson, Jacob Guetersloh, Matthew (Ashlee) Davidson, Andrew (Sarah) Davidson, Joshua Guetersloh, Hunter Brown, and Logan Brown; twelve great-grandchildren, Adrian, Dean, Annalyvia, Conner, Kaylea, Angelica, Emma, Oakley, Wyatt, Savannah, Jaxon, and Mattilyn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Kent Brown and Vida Jean Hall Brown, and a sister, Brenda Kaye Farris.
