Truman Franklin Williams

Truman Franklin Williams, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
 
Truman was born on March 11, 1934, in Boaz, Kentucky, to the late Clarence and Lennie Norris Williams. He was a member of Heritage Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah and developed a lifelong love for fixing and building. This passion led him to a rewarding career as a maintenance worker at General Tire until his retirement.

Truman's hobbies were an extension of his work. He loved keeping his hands busy, and he found joy in tinkering with bicycles, lawn mowers, tractors, and just about anything that had gears or needed fixing. His garage became a sanctuary of sorts, a place where he could transform the old and worn into something new and functional. Those who knew Truman understood that his greatest achievement was not in the machines he fixed but in the relationships he built and maintained throughout his life. His quick wit, boundless generosity, and the immense care he showed for his friends and family will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all.
 
Truman is survived by four daughters, Dena Brown of Anderson, Alabama, Althea Anderson of Fort Myers, Florida, Anita Silingo of Anderson, Alabama, and Landa Williams Dawson Springs, Kentucky; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Williams Jr. of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Williamson Williams; two sisters, Mary Weber, and Genevieve McIntosh; three brothers, Henry Lee Williams, Charles Williams, and David Williams.
 
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. Phillip Raley officiating.
 
Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. 3745 Old US Hwy. 45 S. Paducah, KY 42003.
