Vicki Sue (Kalberer) Sherretz, 69, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at her residence on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Vicki was born on October 7, 1956, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to the late William Udell Kalberer and Barbara Jean (English) Kalberer.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Rick Sherretz of Paducah, Kentucky; two daughters, Rachel Stout of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Sara Winsel of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; two sons, Travis (Natalie) Miller of Paducah, Kentucky and Daniel (Andrea) Sherretz of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; two sisters, Denise (Danny) Ross of Paducah and Jeanne Rogers of Paris, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by one sister, Gail Johnson, and two brothers, Jerry Kalberer and John Kalberer.
Vicki was truly one of a kind. She lived life to the fullest, laughed often, and loved big. Everywhere she went, everyone she encountered was touched by her humor, intellect, vigor, and her unique Vicki flair. She could be selective. But those who knew her best knew just how soft-hearted and caring she truly was. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making those around her laugh.
Vicki enjoyed traveling. Many cherished memories were made during trips with her husband, family, and friends. Pensacola Beach was her favorite destination, though she also enjoyed frequent visits to Fort Walton Beach, several cruises, and getaways with her girlfriends and sisters.
Vicki was a proud Taylor Swift fan and referred to herself as a “Swiftie.” She frequently talked about wanting to see her in concert and was disappointed that her invitation to their wedding was lost in the mail. She and her best friend enjoyed listening to her music, watching her documentaries and movies, and even attended one movie in theaters while wearing matching “Swiftie” inspired attire.
She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, shopping, watching television and movies, cheering on her grandson at his football games, listening to concerts by her grandchildren, and supporting them in all their endeavors.
Above all, Vicki’s love for her family and friends will be remembered and cherished most. She was the glue and the backbone. Always at the heart of the family and the memories they shared. She and her husband, Rick, would have celebrated 37 years of marriage in November. She will be remembered often. Her love, humor, and vigor will be carried by those who knew and loved her forever.
A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
