William Henry Baugh Jr, aged 97, passed away in Huntsville, Alabama, on March 5, 2026.
He was a long-time resident of Paducah, Kentucky, and worked for the Illinois Central Railroad as an electrician and systems analyst.
He was born in Lawrenceburg, KY, on April 25, 1928, to the late William Henry Baugh Sr and Justine Welsch Baugh. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in Japan and East Asia from 1946 to 1952.
In retirement, he was active in Master Gardeners of Paducah and volunteered at both Martha’s Vineyard and St. Nicholas Clinic. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Surviving are his four children; Lawrence William Baugh (Anna), Eleanor Justine Redenour (Bruce), Andrew Peter Baugh (Carol) and Paul Joseph Baugh; two stepchildren, D. Reed Rushing (Christy) and Virginia A. “Gigi” Walton; his ten grandchildren, Christopher Baugh (Stephanie), Joseph Baugh (Natalie), Samuel Baugh (Kimberly), Rachel Geist (Brett), Alanna Sloger (Michael), Leah Redenour, Lorraine Baugh, Daniel Baugh and Katherine Baugh; his two step grandchildren, Daniel Walton and Rachel De La Cruz (Christian) along with ten great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lorraine Corte Baugh, and his second wife, Carol Gardner Baugh.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Father Mike Clark officiating. Visitation will be after 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Paducah.
