Winifred “Winn” Huyck, 105, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City, Kentucky.
Winn was born on August 29, 1920, in Easton, Pennsylvania, to the late Norman and Elsie Bath. Throughout her remarkable 105 years, she remained active in her community and gave generously of her time to organizations that were important to her. She was a past president of the McCracken County Homemakers and was honored as a Duchess of Paducah. She also served as secretary for the McCracken County Extension Service. For more than 20 years, Winn worked as a tour guide at the National Quilt Museum, where she enjoyed welcoming visitors and sharing in one of Paducah’s most treasured traditions.
In her free time, Winn enjoyed needlepoint and playing bridge. She was also a longtime member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church. Her faith, service to others, and involvement in her community remained meaningful parts of her life.
Winn is survived by her two sons, Bruce (Johannah) Huyck of Paducah, Kentucky, and David (Mandee) Huyck of Paducah, Kentucky; one daughter, Lynda Pfannkuche of Lawrenceville, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Nathan Huyck, Rebecca Brown, Sarah Huyck, Amanda Hutto, Rene Jones, Chris Rein, Stetson Coursey, and Evie Coursey; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Huyck; her parents, Norman and Elsie Bath; one brother, Claire Bath; and one sister, Marge Carver.
Winn’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the kindness, compassion, and exceptional care they provided to her.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the funeral home.
