Betty Griffin

Kevil, KY Betty J. Griffin, age 88, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 17, 1937 to her parents, Aruther William and Fannie Mae (Owsley) Young.

Betty was employed for many years as a cook by the Ballard County School System. Cooking for her family and friends was something she thoroughly enjoyed. Alongside her husband they owned and operated Griffin Sales in LaCenter, Kentucky and Indiana for over 40 years. Betty loved to be outdoors watching hummingbirds, being near the water and spending time fishing. Her most favorite thing to do was spend time with her daughter in Florida. She attended Faith Center Church in Paducah.

Betty is survived by, a son, Bill Griffin (Holly) of Gage, KY; a daughter, Dana Ingram (Gary) of Bandana, KY; four grandchildren, Zachary Griffin (Alexa), Devin Griffin (Layken) Colby Dome and Alyssa Colson (Lance); two step grandchildren, Matt Ingram and Georgeann Ingram; three great grandchildren, Ella Griffin, Levi Griffin, and Lydia Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, David Griffin, a son, Scott Griffin, a brother, Joe Young, a sister, Mary Ashby and her parents, Aruther William and Fannie Mae (Owsley) Young.

Visitation will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025, after 11:00 A.M. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
