Dianne Ray, 86, of Kevil, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in her home on July 14, 2026. Born on September 9, 1939, in Mayfield, KY, she was the cherished daughter of Arnie and Bluma Edwards.

Dianne was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and dedicated member of the Bandana Community Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She contributed actively to the Purchase Area Walk to Emmaus and was a part of the Methodist Women.

Her passion for education shone throughout her life. Known affectionately as Coach Ray, she began her career teaching Physical Education and Health, and coached cheerleading and track. She saw every student as family and took immense joy in nurturing their growth. Her journey in education culminated in the Ballard County School Systems.

Dianne's greatest pride was her family, especially being a beloved Nana to her grandchildren. She found happiness in reading, gardening, and enjoying God's creation of nature from her porch.

She is survived by her son, Todd Ray (Becky) of LaCenter, KY; daughter, Michelle Ray of Kevil, KY; five grandchildren, Kayla Morrow (Tyler) of LaCenter, KY, Emma Ray of Kevil, KY, Erika Wildharber (Ryan) of Barlow, KY, Cooper Ray (MaryBeth) of Kevil, KY, and William Ray of Kevil, KY; and five great-grandchildren, Emma Morrow, Cohen Morrow, Berklee Morrow, Adlee Morrow, and Max Wildharber, along with several nieces and nephews.

Dianne was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Phillip Edwards, Aaron Edwards, Frankie Robertson, and Jane Lomax.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY, beginning at 11:00 a.m. 

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Bob Cain. 

Interment will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield, KY.
